"Chip" Alternatives
I will still make my own chips or buy Siete brand chips, but also try to avoid any processed foods, so the following are some alternatives to use with guacamole, chicken salad, salsa, etc.
• Siete Sea Salt chips: https://amzn.to/3X4XyLl
• Sliced jicama, high in fiber and nutrients, offers a great crunch! The peel of jicama, however, is toxic, so be sure to remove it before consuming.
• Daikon radish, high in fiber and nutrients, offers a great crunch!
• Siete Almond Tortillas – I turn these into chips. See below for the recipe.
Siete Almond Tortilla ‘’Chips”
• Brush top of tortilla with olive oil and sprinkle with salt
• Place in toaster oven until crispy (about 2-5 minutes)
• Wait to cool, then break up and use as “chips”
